On the occasion of the 1500th anniversary of the death of Theodoric the Great (30 August 526), Ravenna is preparing to host CELEBRAZIONI TEODORICIANE 526-2026. RAVENNA NEL SEGNO DI TEODORICO, with an extensive programme of initiatives throughout the area aimed at promoting Theodoric’s heritage.
2026 will therefore see a succession of exhibitions, conferences, guided tours, conventions and seminars, performances and educational workshops, making the celebrations a genuine shared experience between institutions, scholars, citizens and visitors.
