On Sunday 10 November 2024 Ravenna will host MARATONA DI RAVENNA CITTÀ D’ARTE – RAVENNA MARATHON, one of Italy’s most important running races.
Inserted in the UNESCO’s network of marathons, the race attracts every year a large number of runners and their families, friends and partners for a weekend in the name of sport, culture and tourism.
The Ravenna Marathon is a wide event that ranges from the competitive races of Marathon (42.195 km) and Half-Marathon (21.097 km) to the non-competitive ones, such as Good Morning Ravenna (10 km), Family Run (2 km), Dogs&Run (2 km) and Correndo Senza Frontiere (3 Km), there are several scheduled routes, which will be published online shortly.
Typically, the races unfold within the city, touching UNESCO monuments and crossing the historic center for a dive into Byzantine history. The exception is the Marathon, which extends to the shores at the outskirts of the city.
