Just two steps away from the central Piazza del Popolo and via Cavour, the VIA ZIRARDINI OPEN-AIR GALLERY is an outdoor gallery located right in the heart of Ravenna.

This suggestive street of the historical centre of the city has hosted every month, since summer 2021, posters dedicated to various forms of art: from photography to street art, from portraits to contemporary art.

The temporary exhibitions hosted in this open-air gallery are dedicated every month to a different theme, with focuses on special itineraries, works by local artists, events taking places in various places of the city and much more.

SEPTEMBER 2024 – RAVENNA CELEBRA DANTE. L’ANNUALE DELLA MORTE DEL POETA

From 4th September to 6th October 2024 the Via Zirardini Open-Air Gallery will host RAVENNA CELEBRA DANTE. L’ANNUALE DELLA MORTE DEL POETA.

In shots by photographer Marco Parollo and those from the Classense Library‘s archives, highlights of the celebrations in Ravenna over the past five years are portrayed.

Emblematic is the Cerimonia del dono dell’Olio by the City of Florence and the collaboration with Ravenna Teatro that has been going on for some time through the Cantiere Dante project.

How to get there

Via Zirardini is located in the heart of the historical centre of Ravenna, between Piazza del Popolo and via Cavour.

On foot: the area is easily reachable on foot from the nearby railway station.

By bus: all bus routes stop in Piazza Caduti per la Libertà, located 300 m away. For more information: startromagna.it
