The itineraries of MOSAICO DI NOTTE are back again this year to liven up the streets of Ravenna, where the most beautiful monuments of the city have been opened in the summer evenings to tourists and art lovers alike for more than 20 years.
From 28th June to 1st September, a series of guided tours will take you to the discovery of some of the most charming places of the city and the thousand-year-old masterpieces that they preserve, touching the Basilica of San Vitale, the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, the Neonian Baptistery, the Arian Baptistery, the National Museum of Ravenna, the Classense Library, the Domus of the Stone Carpets, the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe and the Classis Ravenna Museum.
A rich calendar of extraordinary evening openings will offer visitors the possibility of admiring the wonders of the Arian Baptistery, the National Museum of Ravenna, the Domus of the Stone Carpets and the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe in a unique and suggesting atmosphere.
Event organized by the Municipality of Ravenna thanks to the precious collaboration of Opera di Religione della Diocesi Ravenna-Cervia, Direzione Regionale Musei Emilia-Romagna – Ministero della Cultura and Fondazione RavennAntica.

DISCOVERING CLASSE
Meeting point: Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe – Via Romea Sud 224, Classe
Time: from 9 pm
Guided tour to the Classis Museum, to discover how the city changes over the centuries, and to the Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe, famous example of the early Christian mosaic art.
The Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe is also open to the public from 7.30 to 11.30 pm.

From 9.30 pm the Basilica of San Vitale will host Mosaici di note… di notte, a music review curated by Conservatorio Statale Giuseppe Verdi.
