40 easy kilometres, where the protagonist is the sea.
Starting from Ravenna, head south towards the Fiumi Uniti river, cross it and go on up to Classe, where you will admire the magnificent Basilica of Sant’Apollinare in Classe, declared a Unesco World Heritage monument in 1996.
By riding on a gravel road beside the pine forest, you will easily get to the Adriatic Sea, where you will start heading north in Lido di Dante.
Here, you will have to cross the Fiumi Uniti river once again, and then go on towards Lido Adriano and Punta Marina Terme at a stone’s throw from the sea.
Finally, take the 10-km-long paved road back to Ravenna.
