Official Tourist Information Site
of Ravenna

It’s been years since Ravenna has committed to improve the accessibility to its beaches, so that also people with special needs can enjoy a holiday at the beach.

In order to allow any disabled person to spend accessible holidays, the tourist facilities and beach establishments on the coastline of Ravenna are equipped with facilities and services that allow access to the beaches and to the sea also for wheelchair users, or people with reduced mobility or visual impairment.

All the beach establishments on the coastline of Ravenna are equipped with accessible toilets and changing rooms.

BEST – The sea at everyone’s reach

The BEST project makes the beaches of Ravenna accessible to all, especially to people with special needs.

Reserved parking lots, wooden walkways with dedicated tracks and special chairs allow disabled people to move freely and bathe in the sea.

All the beach establishments on the coastline of Ravenna can offer you this service. We suggest you to contact the beach establishment in advance to request it.

In this way, you can use the special seats for free as soon as you arrive and move around the beach in an easier way.

Tutti al mare, nessuno escluso

Since 2018, Punta Marina Terme has been hosting an almost unique facility in Italy and Europe.

Located in a central position and with a large number of parking lots, Tutti al mare, Nessuno escluso (lit. “Everyone to the seaside, no one left behind”) is a well-equipped and assisted beach establishment welcoming disabled persons and their families, friends and also beloved pets.

Created thanks to the Insieme a te association and supported by the Emilia-Romagna region and the municipalities of Ravenna and Faenza, the project allows people with serious disabilities to spend good time at the beach in all safety and in a well-equipped facility. Thanks to the precious help of volunteers, people with disabilities will have the chance to bathe in the sea in a welcoming and peaceful environment.

The facility is open only in the summer months and is located in Punta Marina Terme (RA), in Via Della Fontana (between Bagno Chicco Beach and Bagno Susanna).

The project is part of Welcome Everybody Emilia-Romagna, with the support of the Italian Prime Minister’s Office – Minister for disabilities.
