The coast features six stretches of completely free beach where you can go with your four-legged friends from dawn to sunset.

Furthermore, there are also many equipped beach establishments allowing access on their beaches also to pets.

RULES AND CODE OF CONDUCT

In order to access the pet-friendly beaches in Ravenna, you must follow a series of simple rules that aim to safeguard the health of your pets and ensure a civil use of the spaces in respect of other guests.

Access to the beach is exclusively limited to dogs recorded in the dogs registry;
Dog owners are responsible for the well-being, control, and conduct of their animals and are responsible, either through civil or penal provisions, for any damage or injury to persons, animals or properties caused by their animals;
Dog owners must make sure that their dogs behave properly in relation to the requirements for the co-existence with other people and animals on the free beach;
Dogs must be kept on a leash, which has to be no more than 1.50 m in length;
Dog owners must carry a rigid or soft muzzle to be fitted to their dogs in case of risks to the safety of people or animals, or on request of the competent authorities;
Dogs are allowed to bath in the stretch of sea in front of the authorized stretches of beach, but they must be kept out of water in the central hours of the day, namely from 11.30 am to 2.30 pm;
All dogs must be kept on a leash until they enter the authorized stretch of sea and as soon as they come out of the water they have to be put on leash again. They cannot stroll or stay along the foreshore;
Access to the area is prohibited to female dogs in heat;
Dogs must be free of infestations of fleas, ticks, and other parasites;
Dog owners must remove immediately any excrement produced by their animals, and for this purpose they must be provided with appropriate shovels/collectors, and place said excrements in the containers installed in the area for that purpose.

The Municipal Administration of Ravenna is freed from any responsibility for damage to persons or property which could arise.
