On Saturday 14th October, the lights in Ravenna turn on for NOTTE D’ORO. Guided tours, exhibitions, extraordinary evening openings of the monuments and much more will enliven the historical centre of the city with a wide programme of events.
Like last year, this year’s edition takes place in conjunction with the inauguration of the 8th Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic that will fill the city up with a rich programme of events between ancient and contemporary art.

A comedy show by Giovanni Vernia

The Italian comedian Giovanni Vernia presents himself as an all-round showman, who dances, sings and plays generously, showing his pleasure of being on stage. And the public follows him, naturally, as you may follow the stories of a special friend.
This show is a long, delicious excercise of intelligent levity, where the personal story of the artist, coming from the less humorous job in the world – the engineer – and getting to be a professional comedian, overlaps a fun and smart journey through the commonplaces of these strange modern times.

An extraordinary event that will put the spotlight on three international projects in the field of experimental music. The public will be lead through a musical flow with a strong imaginative power, embodying a fusion between avant-garde electronic music and contemporary artistic expression.

Trip hop, dubstep and chillout intertwine with world music and ethnic elements. The sounds fillung up our everyday life are often taken for granted, but all their characteristics can be examined and organised to create a melody.
Cemento Atlantico has “stolen” field recordings, samples and fragments to nature, history, roads and sacred places. Feelings impressed in mind with casual recording equipment, later mixed with electronics and rhythmic construction creating a unique and contemporary melting-pot of sounds and cultures.
