From 22nd April to 18th June, the noble halls of Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste in Ravenna host IL PATRIMONIO DELLA BIODIVERSITÀ – MOSAICO E NATURA, an event dedicated to the relationship between art and territory in Ravenna since the days the city was the capital of the ancient world.
The mosaics of Ravenna feature many representations of the birds that, then as now, populated our skies.
In the exhibition, the mosaic birds are the one making up the series of ancient mosaics realised by Gruppo Mosaicisti di Ravenna in the 1950s, which today are considered as works of art themselves.
The photos were provided by the Po Delta Park, and were realised by Maurizio Bonora, Massimiliano Costa, Nicola Merloni, Luciano Piazza and Roberto Zaffi.
This exhibition pays homage to mosaic and nature, two elements that deeply characterize our territory and, thanks to contributions and focuses in the halls of Palazzo Rasponi, offers a unique point of view on details and representations.
