An important exhibition on one of the most radical artists of the second half of the 20th century in Italy. On display are around thirty major works documenting the artist’s output during the last twenty years of his life, from 1980 to 1999.

During these three days, Piazza del Popolo will become a large flower garden with many floriculturists from all over Italy. You will also find quality crafts, hobbies and food products.

Romagna in Fiore is a special eco-sustainable and widespread solidarity festival created within Ravenna Festival. A series of concerts in places symbolic of the floods that hit the area in 2023 and 2024, of great landscape and historical value.

Ravenna Jazz is part of the bigger “Crossroads” programme, and is one of the longest-lived Italian festivals dedicated to music of Afro-American origin. Ten days of concerts in various locations, fully involving the whole city.

The festival of the Coconino Press publishing house born in Ravenna, which celebrates comics by relating them to other languages and forms of expression, such as music, the novel, video and theatre. A rich programme with eight exhibitions and a weekend of meetings with the authors who are the protagonists of the exhibitions, other cartoonists and well-known artists who will give life to a series of special events, shows and performances.

Beaches Brew has distinguished itself over the years among music festivals in Europe for its free admission concerts that can be heard with your feet in the sand. This festival is a landmark for the international community of “indie” music fans and attracts thousands of young people from all corners of the continent.

In Romagna, Notte Rosa is the Riviera’s true New Year’s Eve, colouring all the beaches along the coast. A hot early summer weekend that transforms the beaches of Ravenna into a big stage available to everyone. It will be impossible not to be swept away until late at night in this wave of fun, dance and music in the clubs, squares and beach establishments.

Wild mussels of Marina di Ravenna will be the stars of three delicious days dedicated to seafood. The festival will involve not only the local establishments in the area, but also the restaurants present in all the beach towns and in the city of Ravenna. Famous for its deliciousness, the wild mussels of Marina di Ravenna are counted among the most prized varieties in Italy.

A festival promoting the younger and innovative side of performing arts through auteur and research dance. The program includes perfomances by national and international companies with numerous events such as practices and free workshops open to all. The festival is hosted in iconic places of Ravenna, the Darsena area with its street art and many other spaces of the city regenerated through cultural projects.

In September Ravenna celebrates the Supreme Poet Dante Alighieri through multiple initiatives that include institutional and literary events, exhibitions and performances. An important moment is the Annuale, a day dedicated to celebrations in memory of his death. This tradition takes place on the second Sunday in September and is marked by the Ceremony of the Oil gifted by the City of Florence.

A recreational event with two itineraries (5 km and 10 km) that will run between the Darsena area and Parco Teodorico. The event is organised in collaboration with Linea Rosa and aims to send a clear message against violence against women.

• GIOVINBACCO – SANGIOVESE IN FESTA

Where: various places in the historical centre of Ravenna
The largest celebration of Sangiovese and the other wines from Romagna is held in Ravenna, among the streets and squares of the historical centre. Tastings, meetings and food stands are the real strength of this initiative, which combines good wine and good food from Romagna for three days.

• MARATONA DI RAVENNA CITTÀ D’ARTE

An event taking place every year welcoming thousands of runners every year. A true invasion to the sound of sports and fun suitable for everyone. The event includes the 42 km Marathon with a route through the eight Unesco monuments and cultural jewels of Ravenna, but also routes of 21 km, 10 km and side events such as the Family run, the Dogs & run and Correndo senza frontiere, designed for all persons with disabilities.

We can consider it as the autumn appendix of the Ravenna Festival dedicated to opera. Over time, this event has paid tribute to such illustrious composers as Giuseppe Verdi and Giacomo Puccini, transforming the theatre into a lively laboratory of experimentation that will not cease to surprise again this year.
