A flat route to the discovery of the historical centre of Ravenna.

An easy itinerary suitable for all, made up of 17 kilometres of paved road and 6 km of gravel road in the rural area just outside the historical centre of the city.

A completely flat route which, starting from Piazza del Popolo, passes by some of the monuments and places that made Ravenna famous all over the world, such as the Basilica of San Vitale, the Neonian Baptistery and Dante’s Tomb.

The itinerary continues southwards along the right bank of the Fiumi Uniti river, and then heads back north-east. After taking a turn towards the historical centre, the route goes through Parco Teodorico and finally goes back to the starting point.

The Basilica of Sant’Apollinare Nuovo, the Mausoleum of Theodoric and the Public Gardens are just some of the points of interest of this itinerary, which will take you to the discovery of the city in the best way possible: on a bike.

This fun and educational journey will give you the opportunity to know the history of Ravenna as well as – more marginally – some of its natural aspects.
