Award-winning conductor of international fame Ivan Fischer returns in Ravenna with his Budapest Festival Orchestra on Tuesday 16 June at the Mauro de Andrè arena, sided by the young and talented Scottish violinist Nicola Benedetti.
The BFO will challenge itself with the selection from Der Rosenkavalier by Richard Strauss, an extraordinary combination between waltz music and opera, whereas Nicola Benedetti will dedicate herself to the Concert Sibelius, searching all the violin’s nuances and making her part as a soloist one of the most amusing, but nonetheless virtuoso. Last but not least, on the bill is the 6th Symphony by Dvořák, praised anywhere for its natural melodic fullness and for its charming and alluring sounds.
