From 19 September 2020 to 8 November 2021, the Classense Library hosts Il Dante di Guerrini. Disegni danteschi di Giovanni Guerrini alla Biblioteca Classense, an exhibition of a little but valuable collection of drawings featuring Dante created by Giovanni Guerrini (1887 – 1972) that the library has recently bought.
Painter, drawer, architect and designer, Giovanni Guerrini had a privileged bond with Ravenna, since he was for many years a professor at the Fine Arts Academy, and then director of the city’s Mosaic School. Curated by Daniela Poggiali
