From 2nd to 31st July 2025, the Via Zirardini Open-Air Gallery will host ANCORATI AL PASSATO CON ROTTA VERSO IL FUTURO, a photographic exhibition celebrating the 160th anniversary of the birth of the Port Authority Corps.
The exhibition, realised in collaboration with the Tourism Service of the Municipality of Ravenna, offers a journey through images that recounts the evolution and daily work of the Corps, today also known as the Coast Guard.
The Corps operates under the coordination of various ministries, according to specific competences, and is internationally recognised for its activities in sea rescue, environmental protection, navigation and transport safety, fishing control, and defence of the underwater archaeological heritage.
With around 11.000 men and women, the Italian Coast Guard is present along all national coastlines and is also active in international waters.
The exhibition panels offer a visual narration of the daily commitment of the men and women of the Corps, emphasising the link with tradition and the constant look towards the future.
