The Shooting Range of Ravenna performs two tasks:
– as a public body, it takes care of the training of those serving in public and private institutions and of those obliged to enrol in and attend one of the Shooting Range Sections for the purpose of applying for a license to carry firearms, and of all those who are obliged by law to do so;

– as an Amateur Sports Association recognized by the Italian National Olympic Committee (C.O.N.I.), it promotes the discipline of shooting by organizing recreational activities preparatory to the use of weapons and to the training of shots for practicing the sport at a national level.

The building includes several types of rifle ranges, both indoor and outdoor, as well as an archery range.
