Feb 15, 2020

The theatre programme of the Dante Alighieri Theatre meets the dance with a rich playbill, halfway between a contemporary repertoire and the classical tradition, bringing on the stage refined productions and internationally renowned companies.

The Dance Season inaugurates with NUOVO Balletto di Toscana on 15 and 16 February with Cenerentola, on the music by Prokof’ev and the choreography by Jiří Bubeníček, winner of the award Benois de la Danse.

The Alonzo King Lines Ballet is presenting on 29 February and 1 March Händel and Common Ground, signed by the founder of this amazing company of San Francisco himself, whereas the dancing will be again on points with the Don Chisciotte by Johan Kobborg from Petipa performed by the Saint Petersburg Yacobson Ballet on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March.

Grand finale with the Compagnie Hervé Koubi and Les Nuits barbares on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 April, a creation of high-visual impact by the Franco-Algerian choreographer Hervé Koubi.
