As part of the Ravenna Festival programme, on 10th July the Pala de André will host the SERGIO BERNAL DANCE COMPANY show, a unique opportunity to see a performance by the Spanish dancer most loved by Italians.
The programme features two choreographies by Rafael Aguilar: Rango, inspired by La Casa di Bernarda Alba, a play by Federico García Lorca, and Boléro, considered by many to be the most moving version of Maurice Ravel’s famous ballet.
Bernal’s uniqueness as a bailarín (classical dancer) and bailaor (flamenco dancer) emerges from the rustling and the ‘taconeo’ of the company.
Andalusian dance explodes with all its vigour in Suite Flamenca, which completes the triptych: an intimate dialogue between the lively and magnetic Bernal and his musicians.
