The 17th edition of SPIAGGE SOUL is back on the beaches of Ravenna with its rhythms and emotions, collected all around Italy and the world.
From July 20th to August 26th the coast of Ravenna is ready and proud to host a month full of concerts (32) free and right by the sea, from the sound of Mississipi to African energy, form gnawa rhythms to South American suggestions.
Many names will be on the program, starting with one of the symbolic presences of Spiagge Soul, the Honey Island Swamp Band, a historic New Orleans band that mixes jazz, blues, southern rock and funk; Chris Bergson, a leading blues guitarist on the New York scene in a duo with Ellis Hooks; Supa Kalulu, who fuse in their music the rhythms of Africa, Asia and Europe with marimba, mbira and electronic sounds and will be ready to delight listeners with an exciting concert at dawn, and many other quality offerings from emerging and established artists.
Spiagge Soul is a festival organized by Associazione Culturale “Blues Eye” with the artistic direction of Francesco Plazzi, the support of the Municipality of Ravenna, the Emilia-Romagna Region, Apt Service, with the collaboration of the Proloco of Marina di Ravenna, in addition to the precious contribution of private workers.
