As every year in autumn, Ravenna Festival presents the AUTUMN TRILOGY, from 15th to 19th November at the Dante Alighieri theatre.
This year’s edition is called Eroi erranti in cerca di pace and takes the public to the roots of bel canto and the origins of opera, immersing them in the sounds and atmospheres of 17th-century Baroque.
Night after night, the Dante Alighieri Theatre will host Il ritorno di Ulisse in patria and Didone e Enea nel giorno di Santa Cecilia, a dyptich representing the two sides of the Trojan war – and a recital dedicated to the timeless expressive power of a repertoire spanning the centuries: Polish counter tenor Jakub Józef Orliński, one of the undisputed protagonists of today’s vocal scene, accompanied by ensemble Il Pomo d’Oro.

The opera dyptich is completed by one of the undisputed protagonists on today’s vocal scene, almost a symbol of renewal and at the same time of the timeless expressive and communicative power of a repertoire spanning the centuries. Orlinski, Polish counter tenor in his thirties, has captivated the public with his celestial voice, reviving the fascination of the singers of the past and combining it with the dynamic physicality of breakdancing: an irresistible mix.
