Ravenna is famous worldwide for its ancient mosaics. Moreover, between the end of the thirteenth and the beginning of the fourteenth century, it has been the last refuge of Dante Alighieri, the father of the Italian language.

Right from Dante’s Tomb, every Saturday and Sunday, the tour DANTE IN RAVENNA departs, offering an itinerary that traces back the places of the city connected with his memory.

It’s the perfect occasion to discover what happened during his last years and more. You will find out about his exile and the intriguing contention of his remains.

Moreover, you will learn about restoration and enhancement works carried out on the sepulchre over the centuries.
