From 18th October to 2nd November 2025, on the occasion of the Biennial of Contemporary Mosaic, the exhibition spaces of Palazzo Rasponi2 (PR2) will host the exhibition LITOSTRATI by SERGIO BELACCHI, curated by Cesare Albertano.
On display, marking Belacchi’s return to artistic production after a long professional career dedicated to mosaic restoration, are works in marble, granite and natural stone.
The artist has decades of experience in the field of ancient mosaic restoration, also as co-founder of “Laboratorio del Restauro srl”.
In recent years, he has resumed creating original works, participating in editions of the Biennale del Mosaico Contemporaneo (Contemporary Mosaic Biennial) as a member of AIMC.
The exhibition presents a selection of works in which a solid knowledge of mosaic techniques is combined with an expressive research of great evocative power. The tiles, rising or sinking above or below the surface, give rise to visual suggestions that refer to geological processes, wounds and regeneration, taking the form of a contemporary investigation into matter and memory.
