From 5th to 26th September, the halls of Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste host DIECI QUADRI SALVATI DAL FANGO (Ten paintings saved from the mud), a collection of works by Guerrino Tramonti, painter, ceramist and sculptor.
Born in Faenza in June 1915, Tramonti frequented Regia Scuola di Ceramica in Faenza. In the ’70s he stopped working on ceramic objects and started to paint, elaborating a peculiar style suspended between surrealism and post-cubism.
Following the painter’s death in 1992 and by his will, his house-workshop in Faenza was turned into Museo Guerrino Tramonti, where many of his significant works are displayed. The floods occurred in May 2023 have severely hit the artistic heritage that is preserved here, but miraculously many of the works were saved from the mus thanks to the work of many volunteers. Ten of these works are displayed in Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste, for a homage coming from the heart.
