From 22nd to 28th September, Ravenna hosts the X edition of SOUNDSCREEN FILM FESTIVAL, an international festival dedicated to cinema and music.
From tv series to documentaries, from biopics to musicals, the festival will take place in Cinema Mariani, for a week of screenings and events in the name of the relationship between images and sounds.
The 2025 programme focuses on exclusive Satellite Events – silent film classics accompanied by live music from the best musicians on the Italian indie scene.
In addition, there will be previews of the International Competition and SoundscreenER, a space with in-theatre guests dedicated to productions from Emilia-Romagna, tributes and an Opening Night with a melancholic flavour.
The festival dedicates a special evening to one of the most iconic faces of 1990s Hollywood, Michael Madsen, who passed away on 3rd July. With a career spanning over 40 years, he played countless cult roles in both mainstream and independent films, including Reservoir Dogs, with which SSFF25 will open the festival.
