On Thursday 26th June 2025, as part of the Ravenna Festival, at the Teatro Alighieri, the event CAT POWER SINGS DYLAN ’66 will take place, a tribute by the singer to one of music’s greatest.
Bringing back to the stage the most legendary of Bob Dylan’s concerts, the one at the Royal Albert Hall in 1966, in which Dylan switched from acoustic to electric in the middle of the performance, unleashing the wrath of folk purists and changing the trajectory of rock “n” roll, becomes a hypnotic performance with which Cat Power, born Chan Marshall, pays tribute to the artist who inspired her more than any other.
A concert in which every single track is infused with grace and a tangible sense of reverence for the singer-songwriter-poet, while some of his most revered songs are dressed in new and stunning vitality.
Thus Ravenna Festival celebrates Dylan’s still profound influence through one of the most representative voices of modern-day indie and folk rock.
