From 20th December 2025 to 2nd January 2026, the Domus of the Stone Carpets will host CARPETS OF MUSIC, a series of candlelit concerts organised by Ensemble Mariani.

The concerts will be preceded by a guided tour of the Domus, which, in addition to recounting the incredible discovery of the Domus of the Stone Carpets and its conversion into a museum, will also refer to the decorative and scenographic effects of light in late antiquity.

During the Christmas holidays, from 1st to 27th December, all parking spaces regulated by parking meters managed by Azimut on behalf of the municipality will be free of charge from 4.30 pm, with the exception of those in Piazza Baracca, which will be free from 6.30 pm.

SATURDAY 20TH DECEMBER

BAROQUE ARIAS AND ROCK BALLADS

Second shift: 8.30 pm (guided visit) and 9 pm (concert)

The Ten String Duo is made up of eclectic artists who transform tradition and modernity into a unique musical experience. On guitar is Andrea Candeli, an established concert performer who has played alongside artists such as Andrea Bocelli and Giancarlo Giannini and has toured internationally; on violin is Denis Zannani, founder of the Strings Music Ensemble, known for his artistic experimentation and cross-genre influences. Starting with Baroque music, featuring two gems from this repertoire, Bach’s Air on the G String and Pachelbel’s Canon, the programme moves on to rock ballads by The Beatles, Aerosmith, Spandau Ballet and Duran Duran.

FRIDAY 26TH DECEMBER

NOT ONLY CINEMA, FROM CLASSICAL REPERTOIRE TO FILM MUSIC

Two internationally renowned artists, both recognised for their ability to reinvent traditional instruments with new languages, lead the audience on a truly rich and evocative journey through centuries and different languages.
The programme opens with monumental Baroque pieces where minimalism and introspection merge, while the second part is dedicated to great Italian cinema.
Isabella Fabbri has performed on stages such as La Scala in Milan and the George Enescu Festival in Bucharest, while Floraleda Sacchi has performed at Carnegie Hall in New York and the Gewandhaus in Leipzig.

FRIDAY 2ND JANUARY

FROM BACH TO LED ZEPPELIN

Second shift: 8.30 pm (guided visit) and 9 pm (concert)

In this concert, classical instruments such as the violin, flute, viola and cello interpret rock classics from recent years. From Bach to Led Zeppelin, George Gershwin and the Beatles, from the Police to Moulin Rouge. After paying tribute to the two most famous Italian film composers, Nino Rota and Ennio Morricone, the concert will also feature Queen’s famous Bohemian Rhapsody, a true masterpiece and meeting point between rock and classical music. The concert will conclude with a completely new version of Led Zeppelin’s timeless Stairway to Heaven.
