Ravenna was Dante Alighieri’s last refuge. The city hosts his mortal remains and, over the years, has always dedicated the month of September to the memory of the poet.
SILENT PLAY FOR DANTE is an immersive experience, a new and original way to get to know Dante’s world and poetry, and discover some curiosities about his life in Ravenna and the places that preserve his memory. Silent Play is a walk with Dante, in the places that inspired him.
Thanks to technology and a well-studied scenography, participants will discover the city that welcomed Dante in the 14th century through people, places and tercets linked to his memory and fortune. The itinerary includes the Basilica of San Francesco, Dante’s Tomb, the Classense Library, the so-called ‘Zone of Silence’ — an area of respect for Dante, the Roof Gardens of Palazzo della Provincia and the TAMO museum.
An immersive experience of great suggestion, not just a simple guided tour. It’s a musical, theatrical and poetical journey that will enthrall you.
The script has been written by La Piccionaia, a theatre production centre that has been producing Silent Play tours for some time now.
