Silent Play per Dante

Duration: 1h e 30m
Language: only in italian
Note: it is recommended to meet 10 minutes before the departure time of the guided tour

Ravenna has been the last refuge of Dante Alighieri. The city hosts its mortal remains and, over the years, it has always dedicated the month of September to his memory.

SILENT PLAY PER DANTE is a new and original way to get to know Dante’s world and poetry, and discover some curiosities about his life in Ravenna and the places that preserve his memory. Silent Play is a walk with Dante, in the places that inspired him.

Thanks to the technology and the well-studied scenography, participants will discover the city that welcomed Dante in the 14th century, through the people, places and tercets linked to his memory and fortune. The itinerary includes the Basilica of San Francesco, Dante’s Tomb, the Classense Library, the so-called ‘Zona del Silenzio’ — an area of respect for Dante, the Roof Gardens of the Provincia Palace and the museum Tamo – All the Adventure of Mosaic.

Silent play per Dante is an immersive experience of great suggestion, not just a simple guided tour. It’s a musical, theatrical and poetical journey that will enthrall you.

The script has been written by La Piccionaia, a theatre production centre that has been producing Silent Play tours for some time now.

The participation fee includes:

  • Immersive technology
  • guide
  • entrance tickets to the monuments
