Nature Tour

Everyone knows Ravenna for its artistic and cultural heritage, but few people know that the city boasts a 35-km-long coastline surrounded by large natural areas.

The points of interest are many, and are all included in the Po Delta Regional Park, which has been recognised by UNESCO as a Biosphere since 2015

Why take a school trip in Ravenna?

Woods and green pine forests, an extraordinary wealth of flora and fauna, lagoons of brackish and fresh water, rivers flowing into the sea: these are only some of the tiles that make up the extraordinary natural mosaic of Ravenna.

The itineraries and guided tours that will take you to the discovery of this stunning example of biodiversity are many and are organised all year round.

If you are a teacher and you are planning to analyse themes related to nature, the respect for the environment and its biodiversity, Ravenna could offer you and your students interesting opportunities.

Thanks to biologists, naturalists, expert and passionate guides, the NatuRa Museum in Sant’Alberto (RA) and the Cubo Magico Bevanella Visitor Centre in Savio offer the best experiences of discovery.

If you are interested in learning more about the marine world, contact the Cestha Research Centre in Marina di Ravenna. You will have the possibility to see with your own eyes how Italy’s most important centre for the recovery of marine fauna works.
