It’s been years since Ravenna has committed to enhance the accessible beaches, so that even people with special needs will have a holiday at the beach
In order to allow any disable person to spend accessible holidays, the tourist facilities and bathing establishments on the Ravenna beaches are equipped with facilities and services that allow access to the beaches and to the sea even for wheelchair users, or people with reduced mobility or visual impairment.
BEST – The sea at everyone’s reach
The project BEST makes the beaches of Ravenna accessible for all, especially for people with special needs.
Reserved parking lots, wooden walkways with dedicated tracks and special chairs (job seats) allow disabled people to move freely and bathe in the sea.
For further information, contact the bathing establishments that have joined this initiative.
If you call in advance, at your arrival you will find a free chair at your disposal to move more easily on the beach and reach the sea.

Tutti al mare, nessuno escluso
Tutti al mare, Nessuno escluso (literally “Everyone to the seaside, no one left behind”) is a well-equipped and assisted bathing establishment that welcomes people with disabilities, with their families, friends and even beloved pets. It is in Punta Marina Terme, in a central position and has a great availability of parking lots,
This almost unique facility in Italy and Europe was created in 2018, thanks to Associazione Insieme a te, supported by Regione Emilia-Romagna and the Municipalities of Ravenna and Faenza.
The project allows people with serious disabilities to spend a day at the beach in all safety and in a well-equipped facility. In a welcoming and peaceful environment, people with disabilities will have the chance to bathe in the sea, also thanks to the help of volunteers.
The facility is open only in the summer months and is located in Punta Marina Terme (RA), Via Della Fontana (between Chicco Beach and Bagno Susanna).
