Songs of hope, a captivating rhythm, the Christmas atmosphere. The unbridled power of CHRISTMAS SOUL comes back to Ravenna with 4 gospel concerts – Thursday 28th, Friday 29th and Sunday 31st December in Piazza del Popolo, Monday 1st January 2024 at the Dante Alighieri Theatre.
International artists from various countries will make Christmas holidays in Ravenna more magical, thanks to the exploration of the most spiritual and intense sphere of black music. Rhythms and armonies similar to the ones of soul, blues, R&B and funk music.
Concerts that are able to make everyone feel engaged, that seize and communicate the sense and the intimate spirit of Nativity.
Christmas Soul is an event organised by the Municipality of Ravenna, Spiagge Soul and Fondazione Ravenna Manifestazioni.

SARA ZACCARELLI AND THE SOUL TRAIN – ITA

Singer, songwriter, composer and musician, Sara Zaccarelli grows up with black music, consuming iconic albums and paying special attention to new generations.
On stage with a super band of seven elements, Sara’s repertoire takes the public in a journey through unforgettable classics, from Aretha to Solomon Burke, from Sam Cooke and Ray Charles to Amy Winehouse, with captivating rhythms of New Orleans and Sara Zaccarelli’s original songs.

EARL BYNUM AND THE MOUNT UNITY CHOIR – USA

Earl Bynum is producer, author and teacher. He comes back to Italy with a formation of ten choristers chosen from the Mount Unity Choir.
A perfect mix of various influences of traditional and contemporary gospel, with arrangements along the lines of jazz, wisely measured and presented with energy and great power.

ANTHONY MORGAN’S INSPIRATIONAL CHOIR OF HARLEM – USA

The Inspirational Choir of Harlem is a versatile group, ranging from gospel and jazz to pop and R&B, created under the direction of Anthony Morgan, a much talented artist who accurately selected some of the most unique voices of New York.
Anthony’s unique style of phrasing and elocution, enriched by a hint of comedy, makes every public take part into the concert and dance.

KAYLA HARVEY & THE BRONX BLACK KEY feat. M-STRING QUARTET – USA

Kaylah Harvey is the new and powerful voice of New York’s black community. Raised in Bronx, she immediately made herself known for her crystal clear voice, enhanced by an intense vocal range.
A concert prepared as the soundtrack of a musical journey, enriched by a strong body communication and upbeat tempo accompanied by the clapping of hands.
