In contemporary society, does it make sense to talk about "career" in the artistic field?
According to Ornella Casazza and Emanuela Fiori, curators of the exhibition Il Mestiere delle Arti | Seduzione e Bellezza nella Contemporaneità, it is right in the so-called decorative arts such as goldsmith that we can talk about "career", which is passed down together with the universal value of the technical knowledge, giving high aesthetic examples at the Beauty's service.
Starting from this idea, from 16 February to 25 May, the greatest examples of contemporary artistic creativity realised thanks to the old craft knowledge, will invade the spaces of the Benedictine Monastery of San Vitale in Ravenna, with a selection of artists that, ignoring the border between decorative and fine arts, give their artworks a universal value through their technical skills.
