A month dedicated to Dante: Dantesque September
September is the month when Ravenna displays the Dantesque side of its identity by means of various events of cultural entertainment, among them Dante 09 with meetings dedicated to the importance of having a maestro in our lives, the Dantesque September programme that reflects on the theme of time that flies, the international readings of The Divine Comedy in the World, and the ceremonies that commemorate the death of the Master Poet.
Darsena and various venues in the city
A first rate event every Monday evening with the participation of the best Italian and European organists. Besides listening to the music played on the old organ of the church you can also admire the byzantine mosaics which are now World Heritage. From 19 July to 30 August at the Basilica of San Vitale.
