Dante2021 • 8th edition
Various venues of Ravenna - Via Dante Alighieri, 4/6
Zeitraum der Veranstaltung: von 12.09.2018 bis 16.09.2018

Dante2021, the only national festival entirely dedicated to the father of the Italian language, celebrates its 8th edition and offers a full range of events dedicated to the 7th centenary of Dante Alighieri’s death.

This year, the festival is inspired by a quotation from the Divine Comedy: «With spirit that o'ercometh every battle» (Inferno XXIV, v. 53). This verse is very significant because Virgil uses these words in order to encourage Dante to face the climb from the end of the bolgia of hypocrisy.

All the events will take place from 12th to 16th September, but the previous week (5th-8th September) will take place some readings of Dante Hors d’Oeuvre festival.

The event si promoted by Fondazione Cassa di Risparmio di Ravenna with the scientific direction of Accademia della Crusca of Florence.
