Opera Season • 2020
Dante Alighieri Theatre - Via Mariani, 2
Termine: 06.03.2020, 08.03.2020

With three evenings dedicated to opera, the Opera Season 2019/20 features refined co-productions and internationally renowned companies, enriching the theatre's programme in a balance between innovation and tradition.

The curtains ring up on 10 and 12 January with Serse, from the libretto of Nicolò Minato and according to the vision of theater director Gabriele Vacis, with  the music by Georg Friedrich Haendel performed by Ottavio Dantone.
The second event will be the evening dedicated to Puccini with Suor Angelica / Gianni Schicchi, on 31 January and 2 February, which is given a clear and linear scene thanks to the multifaceted direction of Denis Krief, who exalts the different styles of the two operas, further enchanced by the music performed by Orchestra della Toscana under the baton of Marco Guidarini.
The opera playbill ends with Lucrezia Borgia by Donizetti, on 6 and 8 March, with the new setting directed by Andrea Bernard, and the Orchestra Giovanile Cherubini directed by Riccardo Frizza.
