Caterine

Ingredients for 6 people:
• 500 gr. of white flour;
• 100 gr. of melted butter;
• 200 gr. sugar;
• 2 whole eggs;
• 1 sachet of baking powder;
• grated lemon rind;
• beads and silver balls and colored tails to decorate cakes.

Preparation
After working fine sugar with the eggs, add melted butter and the grated zest and stir.
Add the sieved flour and baking powder and mix everything until dough is smooth and homogeneous.
Cover the mixture and let stand in refrigerator for about 20 minutes. Meanwhile, heat the oven to 180 C°.
Roll out the dough with a rolling pin until obtaining a disc about 1 cm thick. From this derived the figures with the shapes you want (or with a knife by hand).
Place the shapes on a baking sheet covered with parchment paper, and decorated with icing, sprinkles, candies or colored beads, or simply with granulated sugar.
Bake and cook for about 10-12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool on a wire rack.
