In Piangipane all is set for the 29th edition of Teatro Socjale, a festival that combines quality performances, great artists, culture, good cinema, and culinary traditions. Even the great celebrations for the 30 years anniversary is getting closer!

The objective remains a wide offer of shows that are able to keep together well-known artists and new promises from our territory. Beyond the music on Friday and the theatre shows on Saturday, Socjale confirms also this year the Tuesdays dedicated to the young and innovative experiences of the Ravenna territory. Not to be missed the usual appointment with Cappelletti during the intermission.

Admission only for Arci associates.
All conferences and films will be held in Italian.

Roy Paci, “Carpace”
With Roy Paci the participation of Corleone Ensemble
Roy Paci as a singer-songwriter, with his trumpet Sophia and an ensemble of four musicians, retraces the story of Rosario, a Sicilian kid who discovers his love for music during a funeral procession

Larkin Poe, Roots Rock & Blues from Atlanta USA Venom Faith Tour
Rebecca Lovell, voice and guitar, mandolin piano Megan Lovell, voice, lapsteel, dobro  Tarka Layman, bass • Brent Layman, drums
The band fronted by the young sisters from Atlanta, Rebecca and Megan Lovell, arrives in Piangipane: their sound is marked by strong southern melodies and heavy riffs of slide guitar. They opened the concerts of great artists such asElvis Costello, Conor Oberst di Bright Eyes, Kristian Bush di Sugarland and Keith Urban.

Toninho Horta  
With Toninho Horta and Piero Odorici
“Tribute to Getz and Jobim”, with Toninho Horta and Piero Odorici: a tribute to Antônio Carlos Jobim, the most important exponent and composer in Bossanova, and to the saxophonist Stan Getz, extraordinary interpreter of the music by Jobim
The show will be open by Nilza Costa Trio, composed by Daniele Santimone, Massimo Zaniboni, Roberto Rossi.

Alessandro Haber offers not only a concert but also - and most of all - storytelling that will involve the public in the classics of author music.
The show will open with Giacomo Scudellari & Franco Costantini.

Orquesta Tipica Andariega
With Luigi Coviello, conducotr e double bass  Stine Helkjær Engen, bandoneon  Mariano Flores González, piano  Anderson Perea da Silva, bandoneon  Santiago Zamboni, violin  Gonzalo Lesta, violin  Giacomo Santiago Maini, voice.
Orquesta Típica Andariega is the Argentinian band from Buenos Aires that is marked by a rhythmed sound and by the melodies of the masters of tango during its "Golden Age". Dance performance with Matteo Antonelli and Ravena Abdyly.

Baba Sissoko
An evening dedicated to the African rhythm with Baba, one of the major exponent of jazz and ethnic music.
To follow, the voice of Lisa Manara, accompanied by the Savana Funk. In collaboration with Arci - BAMAKO JAZZ project.

Friday, 7 December
The Equ will perform their show “Durante”: surreal songs about the Divine Comedy. The group is composed by Gabriele Graziani, Vanni Crociani, Fabio Cimatti, Giacomo Toschi, Andrea Batani, Amedeo Santolini, Alessandro Padovani, Mirko Berlati.
Event in collaboration with Ravenna Festival “Giovani Artisti per Dante”.

A concert with piano and voice where Ornella will sing her most important successes with a jazz arrangement, accompanied by her pianist Roberto Cipelli.

Odg Big Band & Fabrizio Bosso
ODG Big Band with Fabrizio Bosso in “Natale al Socjale”. The Youth Orchestra of Ravenna, directed by Maestro Franco Emaldi, will play with the great Italian trumpeter Fabrizio Bosso, for a unique event on the rhythm of Jazz, Soul, and Blues.

Friday, 11 January
On 11th January of 20 years ago, Fabrizio De Andrè, one of the greatest singer-songwriter of Italian music. With this concert, Teatro Socjale wants to recall the person and his works with the band Bandreandré, which will celebrate its ten years of activity with the double CD “Bandeandrè”.

Vittorio De Scalzi in concert
With Andrea Maddalone, guitar  Edmondo Romano, sax soprano, clarinet, low whistle, mizmar, bagpipe, flutes
A performance with an acoustic personality fora travel lasting more than 30 years: from the beginnings of the New Trolls up to the last works as soloist.

Luisa Cottifogli in concert
With Gabriele Bombardini, guitar and Andrea Bernabini, video artist
The singer will present her last album dedicated to the mountain, the north and winter, in which her love for nature meets the adventures of humankind.
The evening will be dedicated to fundraising in favour of the people from Dimaro (Val di Sole), hit by a landslide last November. Admission with a fee: €15

It is a music project born from the passion for the great American crooners such as Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Nat King Cole, Bobby Darin. Taking inspiration from the show of LA of the Rat Pack (Show swing comic) with good music and many funny comedy sketches.

70 IN BLUES is the new Treves Blues Band's tour. Over the years, this group worked and played with Roy Rogers, Chuck Leavell, Willy DeVille, John Popper, Linda Gail Lewis, Warren Haynes, Frank Zappa. Moreover, it opened many concerts of Bruce Springsteen and Deep Purple.

Do you know the origin of this saying? Vittorio Bonetti, Eliseo Dalla Vecchia, and Rudy Gatta will tell you its story. A theatre première dedicated to Romagna, using the poetries by the many poets who were capable to describe it so well, in particular Olindo Guerrini and Raffaello Baldini.

A travel in balance between the charm of a great opera tradition and the fascination of a Parthenopean music, hypnotised by the piano and the voice by Raffaello Bellavista. Guests of the evening will be pianist Giulia Ricci and vibraphonist Michele Soglia.

“Dante is back”

Dante will be launched - and the public with him - in 2018, to start a reflection on the rush of our time and the perception of time, very far from the one of Dante's time. Italy, 2018, documentary short film, duration 15’.
A film by Maria Martinelli, Moussa Ndiaye, Alessandro Argnani. Winner of the tender MigrArti – Ministry for cultural heritage and activities.
The documentary film tells the story of three young Senegalese who arrive in Italy thank to a scholarship to create a theatre show with an Italian actor and an Italian director. Their objective is to create an experience that could survive and also develop later in their land of origins, where they dream to go back.

The handbook of the imperfect woman by Roberto Pozzi and M. Pia Timo. Musical advisor: Anna Galletti
This show is something halfway between a reading, a cooking lesson and a comic monologue: the performance is the result of the melancholy of the epic female figures of our grandmothers and it makes fun comparing them with the contemporary tormented female figures -  wives/mothers/workers
