A cycle of meetings starts with the purpose of unveiling the main topics of the upcoming museum Classis Ravenna, the big exhibition area dedicated to the history of the city and of the territory, which will inaugurate on Saturday, 1st December.

Prof. Giuseppe Sassatelli. President Fondazione RavennAntica and former professor of Etruscology and Italic Archaeology at Bologna University will talk about the origins of Ravenna, its history and legends.

Prof. Giuseppe Lepore, professor of Classical Archaeology at Bologna University, will talk about Ravenna during the Roman times.
Ravenna Bizantina. Guardando ad Oriente
Prof. Enrico Cirelli, professor of medieval archaeology at Bologna University will talk about Ravenna under the Byzantine Empire
