Inside the Classense Library, with the exhibition Gianinetti. Eppur son libri, artist Roberto Gianinetti displays his works in woodcut, a relief printing technique used in printmaking. His compositions are art, books and much more, all of them are enriched with the most different ancient and contemporary suggestions: from writing to music, from science to myth and to civil commitment. His works are examples of mastery in the woodcut technique, but they also feature a great playful and ironic side that well combines with the collections of the Library, among which is also a praiseful collection of printed games, dating back from the end of the 17th century up to the present days.
Gianinetti gives us a new vision of the spaces of the Library with his more than 80 books of artist, valuable witnesses of our history and of the world we are living in, on display along the hallway "Corridoio Grande" and inside and outside the windows.
On the day of inauguration on Friday, 9th November, will talk Maurizio Tarantino, library director, Dino Silvestroni, art critic and curator of the exhibition with Gianinetti, and Daniela Poggiali. To follow, guided tour of the exhibition with the artist.
