After Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria, UK, Romania and Poland, for the first time Italy is hosting the exhibition Simple World by Polish artist Marcin Ryczek. The initiative is included in the calendar of exhibitions by Palazzo Rasponi 2 within project PR2 Camera Work, a competition for young photographers under 35 on the theme of Borders. Solo exhibits by Abdulazezv Dukhan (7th-30th April) and Luana Rigolli (5th-28th May) will follow.
Placed third, the work by Marcin Ryczek consists of conceptual and minimalist photographies taken without the use of graphic programs. Their value is highly symbolic and they are linked with the simplicity of everyday life. The chromatic choice of black and white highlights the minimalist aspect of the photos, thus resembling the most traditional classic photography.
The artist has already shown his work in several countries all over the world, such as the USA, the Netherlands, Denmark, France and China, obtaining important acknowledgments - for example: Grand Prix de Découverte: International Fine-Art Photography Award in 2013, LensCulture Exposure Awards in 2014 and New York Photo Festival in 2015.
Alongside his exhibit, the works of young artist Elisa Utili will be on display. Elisa Utili is a student of liceo artistico of Ravenna and received a mention of honour by the technical commission that evaluated the photos.
During the three exhibitions, four author workshops with major names of Italian photography are scheduled. First in line will be street photographer Salvatore Esposito on 18th and 19th February; in spring photographer Marina Guerra will dedicate her workshop to female portraiture, conceived to celebrate the 8th March; photographer Monika Bulaj will focus on reportage. Last, but not least, Giampiero Corelli is preparing an interesting worskhop on darkroom.
