Time has arrived for the last exhibitions dedicated to the winners of the photographic contest PR2 Camera Work for the photographers under 35. In Palazzo Rasponi2 is on display Mathera that awarded Alessandro Oro with the first prize of the competition.
The artist took inspiration from a travel in the areas of Matera and Murgia in the Basilicata region that led her to reflect on the peculiar relationship between humankind and nature that has always characterised those places: the two dimensions co-lived, shaping each other on the balance between their respective borders. Her shoots tell about this land through the marks left on the rocks by fossils and moulds, through the cuts and incisions made to register the days of wine ageing and the several frescoes.
The gallery will also host the exhibition Le vie del Sur America by Massimiliano Cafagna, special mention of this edition of Camera Work. The project tells about the 8000km between Bogotà e Buenos Aires to discover the South American continent. Le vie del Sur America will be inaugurated on Saturday, 6th October at 6.30pm on the occasion of Notte D’Oro.
