The Magazzeno Art Gallery of Ravenna presents the first solo exhibition by Nicola Montalbini Look at you – Guardati, curated by Linda Landi and on display until 27 April.
This artist from Ravenna, already famous for his dinosaurs, depicts them with an attentive and almost obsessive scientific accuracy. His creatures observe and deeply struck the observer as if they wanted to cross - even for just a second - its gaze. The artworks are the result of a long experiment carried out starting from the skeleton of a real dinosaur that had been digitally fractionated and then reassembled, becoming so an artwork.
