The physical and sports activities were considered an enemy of femininity, at least until the Second World War, when sport saw a growing "femininization", also at an Olympic level.
L’emancipazione femminile vista attraverso i Giochi Olimpici is an exhibition that underlines the effort, the constancy, the passion, the commitment and also the rebellion against the rules that women fought for and won. 54 panels tell the story of women at the Ancient Olympic Games to the Modern Games, starting from two opposite ideas: the one of Pierre De Coubertin, creator of the Modern Olympic Games, and the other of great Italian journalist Candido Cannavò.
Exhibition curated by Panathlon Club di Ravenna, in collaboration with Coni Point and with the support of the Municipality of Ravenna - Sports Department
