Pursuant to the Decree of the Prime Minister of the Italian Republic (3 November 2020), the exhibition will be closed to the public starting Thursday 5 November 2020 until further notice.
On the occasion of the celebrations for the 700th anniversary of Dante Alighieri's death, the Classense Library hosts Inclusa est flamma. Ravenna 1921: the Six-hundredth anniversary of Dante's death, an exhibition to recall the celebration that took place in Ravenna between 1920 and 1921 on the occasion of the 6th centenary of the poet's death, when the city became the international capital of Dante's 'worship'.
Books, billboards, photos, paintings, manuscripts, and many other objects of art donated as a homage to Dante and the city, his last refuge, will be on display at the library, along with the drawings by Adolfo De Carolis, the poster of the 6th centenary by artist Galileo Chini, and the famous bags containing bay leaves that Gabriele D'Annunzio placed as a homage by Dante's Tomb.
