From 1 to 20 September, the spaces of Palazzo Rasponi dalle Teste will host two new exhibitions by photographer from Ravenna Giampiero Corelli with shots taken during the recent pandemics.
The FIRST exhibition ‘Data mi fu Soave Medicina. Covid -19 Ravenna: l'ospedale, la città, le persone nei giorni dell'emergenza’ displays forty-five unpublished images in black and white, a reportage of faces, situations, fears and hopes: it's a deep homage to the health personnel that distinguished itself for the assistance given during the period of quarantine .
The exhibitions also features many pictures published in the namesake volume by Danilo Montanari Editore, which collects valuable testimony written by Eugenio Baroncelli, Michele de Pascale, Ermanna Montanari e Marco Martinelli, Michele Smargiassi, Nevio Spadoni e Paolo Tarlazzi.
The SECOND exhibition is entitled ‘Siamo tutti italiani/Mascherine tricolore’, meaning ‘we're all Italians / tricoloured masks’.
This is a project that originated from a meeting between fashion designer Cristina Rocca and photographer Giampiero Corelli, which records the solidarity among the people here in Ravenna. In a semi-desert city centre in the darkest days of the pandemics, men, women, healthcare workers, Italians and not gathered to show a real supportive community, wearing symbolically the 'tricoloured mask', created in the workshops of Cristina Rocca, the same that usually manufacture precious haute-couture dresses.
