GialloLuna NeroNotte 2017
Several venues of Ravenna
Dates: from 28/10/2017 to 05/11/2017
In Autumn Ravenna turns dark. The most important festival in Italy for the lovers of cinema, the Ravenna Nightmare Film Fest and the thriller and noir literature appointment GialloLuna NeroNotte will combine their forces and bring in the city the most mysterious and darkest part of the literary production and contemporary cinema.
From Saturday 28 October to Sunday 5 November a lot of meetings will invade Ravenna with two full programmes, both independent but linked together: events in the morning, literary meetings in the afternoon and evening screenings that include the presence of famous special guests.
Objection, Your Honour! is the title of the 15th edition of GialloLuna NeroNotte, the festival dedicated to crime, dark and thriller literature of Ravenna. It was born with the intention of promoting and spreading the knowledge of Italian crime fiction and of the literature of this genre, and over the years it has brought to the city prestigious names of this sector, Italian as well as international.
The guide line of this new edition evolves around the main topic “Legal Thriller”, that is stories and novels focused on lawyers and judges. It is an homage to the 100 years since Raymond Burr's birth - unrivaled interpreter of Perry Mason, one of the most famous lawyers in the world.
As in the previous editions, the educational aspect will be present during the festival, always seeking for new and precious potential readers: on the one hand a well-established link with the higher schools - with the pluriannual project entitled GialloLuna va a scuola - and on the other hand the collaboration with the University of Bologna for the Master Classes, especially after the great success of the previous edition thanks to the courses by Franco Forte and Alan D. Altieri. The latter, recently disappeared, will be celebrated with the GialloLuna Award 2016 on Friday 3 November before the gala.
The festival, directed by Nevio Galeati, is organised by the Cultural Association Pa.Gi.Ne. in collaboration with the Municipality of Ravenna and the Fondazione Flaminia for the University in Romagna.
